News DeskAbu Dhabi, UAE – President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has conferred the prestigious First-Class Order of Zayed II upon Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, Pakistan’s outgoing Envoy to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), in profound recognition of his distinguished diplomatic services during his tenure.
The honour underscores Ambassador Tirmizi’s dedicated efforts in bolstering the deep-rooted bilateral relations between Pakistan and the UAE, further cementing the historic bonds of brotherhood and cooperation.
The decoration was formally presented to Ambassador Tirmizi by Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar, Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), during a meeting held today in Abu Dhabi.
Dedication and Appreciation
Al Marar conveyed the greetings and best wishes of President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs. He took the opportunity to commend Ambassador Tirmizi’s unwavering efforts, noting their instrumental role in further deepening the already robust and brotherly relations between the two nations.
Upon receiving the high honour, Ambassador Tirmizi expressed his heartfelt gratitude, stating he was “overwhelmingly delighted and deeply humbled to receive this prestigious honour.”
Ambassador Tirmizi also conveyed the greetings of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan. He extended his sincere thanks on behalf of the Government and people of Pakistan to the entire UAE leadership, authorities, and its people for their continued support throughout his mission.

In a moment of humble reflection, Ambassador Tirmizi stressed that the recognition was a testament to the collective efforts of his team and the vibrant Pakistani community residing in the Emirates.
“This recognition is not mine alone,” Ambassador Tirmizi remarked. “I am profoundly grateful to my dedicated team at the Embassy of Pakistan in Abu Dhabi, the Consulate General of Pakistan in Dubai, and our vibrant Pakistani community across the Emirates. Their hard work, cooperation, and commitment have been instrumental in further strengthening Pakistan–UAE relations.”
The First-Class Order of Zayed II is bestowed upon individuals who have made exceptional contributions to the promotion of international diplomacy and the reinforcement of friendly relations with the UAE.
