Dubai: Aster DM Healthcare has been ranked the second-largest healthcare provider in the UAE and the 15th largest in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region by revenue, according to the 2025 Healthcare Business International (HBI) report on the Top 100 for-profit hospital groups.
The recognition places the Dubai-headquartered company among the region’s leading healthcare networks. HBI, a UK-based organisation, provides analysis and market data for the global healthcare industry.
The latest ranking follows another global recognition for Aster DM Healthcare, with four of its hospitals included in Newsweek’s World’s Best Smart Hospitals 2026 list, which highlights 350 hospitals worldwide for their digital innovation and patient care.

Dr. Azad Moopen, Founder Chairman of Aster DM Healthcare, said, “This recognition by Healthcare Business International reflects nearly four decades of trust from our patients and their families, which has supported our growth and reinforced our commitment to providing high-quality, accessible, and compassionate care across the markets we serve. Our journey is aligned with UAE’s Vision 2031, and we are proud to contribute to the country’s emergence as a global healthcare destination combining medical excellence, innovation, and patient-centricity.”
Alisha Moopen, Managing Director and Group Chief Executive, added, “Over the last four decades, Aster has been on a journey to make quality, compassionate care accessible to all. So, being recognized 15th among Healthcare Business International’s Top 100 Hospital Groups in EMEA for 2025, and the second largest in UAE, is more than just recognition. It reflects the trust our customers have placed in us over the years and the dedication of our teams who show up every day with heart, skill, and purpose.”

Founded in 1987, Aster DM Healthcare operates an integrated network of 15 hospitals, 124 clinics and 333 pharmacies across the GCC and Jordan. The group’s portfolio includes the Aster, Medcare and Access brands, catering to different segments of society.
The company has also expanded its digital health offerings through the myAster super app, which provides patients with access to medical consultations, pharmacy services and diagnostic testing.
Aster said it remains committed to supporting national and regional health goals by contributing to the UAE’s efforts to build a more resilient and innovative healthcare system.
