Abu Dhabi: The Abu Dhabi Extreme Championship (ADXC) is set to return for its 11th edition on November 14, bringing world-class jiu-jitsu and grappling action to the Al Ain Region. The announcement was made by International Vision Sports Management (IVSM), the organiser of the event.
Since debuting in October 2023, the ADXC has rapidly grown into one of the most dynamic and innovative platforms in global combat sports, recognised for its distinctive ruleset and high-intensity match format. The championship has drawn leading international athletes and built a dedicated fan base across the world.
Abdulmunem Alsayed Mohammed Alhashmi, Chairman of International Vision Sports Management, said hosting the latest edition in Al Ain highlights the event’s contribution to reinforcing the UAE’s position as a premier global destination for jiu-jitsu and grappling.
“ADXC’s success is a result of the limitless support of our leadership and their vision to use sport as a means to inspire future generations and strengthen our national identity,” Alhashmi said. “We continue to elevate the championship by improving every aspect of its organisation and competition level. Our aim is to bring more world-class athletes to Abu Dhabi while providing Emirati fighters with the opportunity to compete internationally and represent the nation with pride.”
Saeed Al Dhahiri, Director of the Destination Management Department at the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, said the championship has played a pivotal role in strengthening Abu Dhabi’s position as a global hub for combat sports.

“Beyond bringing together world-class athletes and passionate fans, ADXC continues to inspire and develop homegrown talent,” Al Dhahiri said. “The event showcases Abu Dhabi’s ability to host high-calibre international competitions and aligns with the emirate’s broader vision to position itself at the forefront of the global sports landscape.”
According to the Organising Committee, ADXC 11 will feature a strong lineup of international jiu-jitsu and grappling champions, with several special matchups designed to thrill fans in attendance and global viewers alike.
In recent editions, the championship has featured some of the sport’s biggest names, including Espen Mathiesen, Abdul Kareem Al Selwady, Aljamain Sterling, Amir Albazi, Neiman Gracie, Arman Tsarukyan, Pouya Rahmani and Roberto “Cyborg” Abreu.
Following its success in the UAE, ADXC has also expanded internationally, staging events in major cities such as Moscow, Paris, Rio de Janeiro and Balneário Camboriú in Brazil.
