Dubai, UAE – Huawei brought together regional and global technology leaders, carriers, and industry partners at the “Grow Together, Win the AI Intelligent Era” Carrier B2B Digital Innovation Forum on Thursday, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre during GITEX Global 2025.
The event explored how artificial intelligence (AI) and digital transformation are reshaping the B2B landscape, with experts emphasizing collaboration as key to unlocking future opportunities in the intelligent economy.
Opening the forum, David Shi, Vice President of ICT Marketing and Solution Sales at Huawei, underscored the company’s commitment to empowering carriers in their digital evolution.
“In the AI era, carriers must focus on strategic positioning, market targeting, and cultivating AI talent,” Shi said. “With Huawei’s digital solutions, industry expertise, and strong ecosystem, we are ready to drive B2B sector growth together.”
Wang Hui, President of Huawei’s NCE Data Communication Product Line, elaborated on the company’s dual-drive strategy to simplify network integration and reduce operational costs.
He revealed that more than 20 major carriers in the Middle East have adopted Huawei’s iMaster NCE platform for intelligent, cloud-managed network-as-a-service (NaaS).
“By co-creating AI-powered solutions and introducing the industry’s first AI agent, we are redefining managed service experiences for carriers,” Wang said.
The forum also featured case studies from key partners highlighting real-world innovation. Nanish Ali, Senior Manager of Managed Service at Ooredoo Qatar, shared the company’s journey toward digitalized managed services powered by 5G, cloud computing, and software-defined networks.
He said the integrated approach is enabling operators to generate new revenue streams while boosting efficiency and supporting clients’ digital transformation.
A major highlight was the 2025 Middle East and Central Asia Carrier Enterprise Business (CEB) Awards Ceremony, recognizing carriers that demonstrated exceptional innovation and market impact. The awards underscored Huawei’s “Grow Together” vision, celebrating collaborative progress across the telecom ecosystem.

Adding to the forum’s thought leadership, Bocar BA, CEO of the SAMENA Telecommunications Council, unveiled a white paper titled “AI-Driven Visual Intelligence.” The report explores how carriers can extend their roles beyond connectivity to harness the growing potential of visual-data services.
Concluding the day’s sessions, Eric Li, President of Product Portfolio Marketing and Solution Sales at Huawei, called for deeper collaboration to accelerate AI adoption.
“AI-driven cloud platforms are strategic assets that will enable telcos to deliver agile, industry-specific solutions,” Li said. “Through joint innovation, such as GPU-as-a-service, we can lower AI adoption barriers and empower SMEs to thrive in the intelligent era.”

As GITEX continues to spotlight regional advances in digital innovation, Huawei’s forum reaffirmed the telecom sector’s pivotal role in leading AI-enabled transformation. By evolving from traditional connectivity providers to AI-driven digital enablers, regional carriers are positioning themselves to drive the next phase of intelligent growth.
