Dubai, UAE – Nalapad Investments and MVK Holdings have announced the groundbreaking of Chrysalis International Academy, a new British curriculum school set to open in September 2027 in Dubailand’s Liwan area. The project marks the companies’ third educational venture in the UAE and aims to set new benchmarks in innovation, wellbeing, and academic excellence.
The academy, developed in alignment with the Knowledge and Human Development Authority’s (KHDA) Education 33 vision, seeks to position Dubai as a global hub for education, innovation, and lifelong learning. It will cater to the growing demand for quality schooling within the emirate’s emerging residential communities in and around Dubailand and Liwan.
The groundbreaking ceremony was held at the project site in the presence of Abdulla Khalifa Belhoul, CEO of TECOM Group, along with senior government officials, education leaders, and investors.
Expanding education footprint
Chrysalis International Academy joins the education portfolio of Nalapad Investments and MVK Holdings, which includes Credence High School in Al Quoz a leading CBSE school and Crayons Nursery, an early learning centre currently under development in Nad Al Sheba 1.
The new school will welcome students from Foundation Stage 1 to Year 13, offering a comprehensive British pathway enriched with STEAM education, Arabic and Islamic Studies, and progression to IGCSE and A-Level qualifications.

A vision for excellence and happiness
Speaking at the event Abdulla Nalapad Ahmed, Managing Director of Nalapad Investments and Chairman of Credence High School, said the academy is designed to empower students to thrive in a rapidly changing world.
“Chrysalis International Academy is our promise to families in Dubai’s new residential communities. We are building more than a school a place where students are inspired to excel academically and evolve into confident, compassionate global citizens,” he said.
“Education must evolve with the times while remaining rooted in values. Chrysalis will stand as a symbol of excellence and happiness where every learner feels seen, heard, and supported,” he added, thanking KHDA for its continued guidance and support.
Sameer K. Mohamed, Managing Director of MVK Holdings and Governor of Credence High School, highlighted the project’s focus on holistic development. “Families today seek more than strong academics they want schools that nurture emotional, social, and physical wellbeing. Chrysalis will combine proven British education practices with innovation and design to help students thrive in every aspect,” he said.
A campus built for the future
The purpose-built campus has been conceptualised as a vibrant, sustainable, and student-centred learning environment. Planned facilities include a raised football and cricket ground, indoor sports courts, padel facilities, professional cricket nets, and temperature-controlled swimming pools.
A state-of-the-art auditorium, STEAM and innovation hubs, art and music studios, and outdoor classrooms will complement academic spaces designed with natural light, interactive technology, and safety as core priorities.
Each element of the campus aims to promote creativity, collaboration, and wellbeing aligning with Dubai’s broader education and sustainability goals.
Commitment to Dubai’s future
Abdulla Nalapad Ahmed said the academy reflects the company’s long-term commitment to the UAE’s education sector. “Chrysalis represents everything we believe in excellence, inclusion, happiness, and innovation. It is our commitment to Dubai’s future and to nurturing the next generation of thinkers, innovators, and ethical leaders,” he said.
Chrysalis International Academy is expected to open its doors in September 2027, offering students an inspiring and inclusive environment that fosters lifelong learning and positive global citizenship.
