Dubai: Baseball United, the first professional baseball league focused on the Middle East and South Asia, has announced a landmark partnership with Pakistan Television Corporation (PTV) to broadcast all games of its inaugural season live across Pakistan.
Under the agreement, PTV Sports — the country’s national sports channel with a reach of more than 150 million viewers — will air all 21 games from Baseball United’s first full season, scheduled for November and December this year. The coverage will include English-language commentary and graphics designed to engage Pakistan’s large youth audience, more than half of whom are under the age of 25.
The highlight of the broadcast calendar will be the season-opening “Subcontinent Series” between the Karachi Monarchs and Mumbai Cobras, set for November 14, 15, and 16 in Dubai. The matchup marks the first-ever meeting between professional baseball teams from Pakistan and India — a historic moment for regional sports diplomacy and fan engagement.
The Karachi Monarchs, Pakistan’s first professional baseball franchise, feature four local players — Musharaf Khan, Faisal Hayat, Amar Mahmood, and Pierce Khan — alongside international teammates from 10 other countries, including the United States, the Netherlands, and South Korea.
“We are very grateful to announce this partnership with Pakistan Television Corporation,” said Kash Shaikh, Chairman, CEO, and Co-Founder of Baseball United. “PTV Sports has been the home of sports in Pakistan for decades, connecting generations of fans through cricket, football, and now, baseball. Millions of Pakistanis will now have the chance to experience a new bat-and-ball sport, led by their own professional franchise.”

PTV Sports will complement the launch with on-air promotions, cross-channel marketing, and joint social media campaigns with Baseball United.
“PTV Sports is delighted to partner with Baseball United League to introduce this exciting global sport to Pakistani audiences,” said Aaliya Rasheed, Executive Director, PTV Sports. “This collaboration reflects our commitment to diversifying sports content and giving fans access to world-class international action.”
Baseball United’s debut season will feature four founding teams — the Arabia Wolves, Mid East Falcons, Mumbai Cobras, and Karachi Monarchs — playing 21 games over 30 days at the Baseball United Ballpark in Dubai. The season will conclude with the United Series Championship, to be held from December 12 to 14.
The league, backed by 20 Major League Baseball legends including Mariano Rivera, Barry Larkin, Adrián Beltré, and Albert Pujols, aims to establish a professional baseball ecosystem in the Middle East and South Asia.
Baseball United previously drew an average of three million viewers per game in Pakistan during a friendly UAE series earlier this year — despite not featuring any Pakistani players or teams. With the Karachi-Mumbai rivalry and local representation now in play, officials expect viewership to surge even higher this season.
