Dubai, UAE: Goodyear and Peugeot have joined forces to showcase a bold vision for the future of intelligent mobility with the debut of the Peugeot Polygon concept car. The futuristic model marks the first integration of Goodyear’s advanced SightLine technology directly into a vehicle’s cockpit, enhancing driver awareness, safety and performance through real-time tire intelligence.

Unveiled with three distinct driving modes—Urban, Player and Explorer—the Polygon concept is supported by a trio of bespoke Goodyear tires, each engineered to complement the vehicle’s design and functional requirements. The collaboration is seen as a key step toward deeper connectivity between vehicles and tires, an area both companies believe will redefine modern mobility.

Goodyear’s SightLine system provides continuous information on tire health, wear levels and road conditions. These insights can be displayed on the driver’s heads-up screen or fed directly into the vehicle’s advanced control systems to help prevent incidents such as aquaplaning and loss of grip.

For Polygon drivers, the technology pairs seamlessly with Peugeot’s Drive-by-Wire system. It enables automatic adjustments to vehicle performance as tires age, ensuring consistent handling and safety across the tire lifecycle.

“SightLine represents more than technology—it’s a vision for connected mobility,” said Ben Glesener, Senior Technology Director, Product Development, Consumer EMEA at Goodyear. “By partnering with Peugeot, we are envisioning an ecosystem where tires become active contributors to vehicle intelligence, shaping a smarter future.”

Already implemented in several markets, SightLine is positioned as a ready-for-market innovation rather than a conceptual experiment.

Alongside the intelligent software suite, Goodyear developed three exclusive tires for the Polygon:

  • Urban and Player configurations: fitted with the celebrated Eagle F1 tread pattern, marking its 45th anniversary in 2025.
  • Explorer configuration: equipped with a rugged design inspired by the iconic Goodyear Wrangler, crafted for off-road capability.

The concept’s tires feature advanced sidewall aesthetics developed through precision coloring and laser technology—an effort to merge performance with expressive design.

Goodyear says the partnership with Peugeot underscores its commitment to blending craftsmanship with cutting-edge manufacturing to meet evolving mobility demands.

With the Polygon concept, both brands aim to signal a new era in automotive innovation—where intelligence, customization and design come together to deliver a more responsive and engaging driving experience.
