Al Ain, UAE – Al Ain Zoo will launch its winter camp on December 8 under the theme “Wildlife Window,” offering two weeks of enriching experiences filled with learning, exploration, and adventure.
Participants will enjoy a range of enriching activities with animals, along with creative crafts and team-building exercises. The schedule runs from Monday to Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and on Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Open to children aged 6 to 14, the camp takes participants on a unique journey into the world of wildlife through interactive learning, hands-on activities, and group engagement—all within an inspiring setting inside the Zoo.
The program is designed to strengthen environmental awareness in a fun and innovative way by introducing children to the role animals play in maintaining ecological balance, while fostering values of sustainability and responsibility toward the environment.
Mahmoud Salem Al Qubaisi, Unit Head of School Programs at the Sheikh Zayed Desert Learning Centre, said: “The winter camp is part of a series of annual camps—both summer and winter—that support Abu Dhabi’s 2030 vision for environmental sustainability and nature conservation, in addition to the 2025 Year of the Community goals focused on social cohesion and shared responsibility.”
He added, “These camps also aim to unlock the potential and capabilities of future generations, helping us build a conscious and nature-loving generation.”

Al Ain Zoo launched its first camp in 2009, and the programs have grown steadily ever since, reflecting the Zoo’s vision of living in harmony with wildlife.
The camps highlight the Zoo’s mission in nature conservation through research, development, knowledge sharing, species care, and the promotion of environmental awareness and positive behaviors toward biodiversity.
The winter camp will take place over two periods:
- First week: December 8–12
- Second week: December 15–19
