Dubai, UAE – Aster DM Healthcare has achieved a major regional milestone, with nine hospitals from its GCC network securing spots on Newsweek’s Best Specialized Hospitals Middle East 2026 list. The recognition spans key specialties including Gastroenterology, Neurology, Oncology, Orthopedics, and Pediatrics, underscoring the Group’s growing reputation as a leading provider of advanced, outcome-driven care across the region.

Six hospitals from Aster DM Healthcare’s UAE network earned distinctions across multiple specialties. Aster Hospital Al Qusais was honoured for Neurology, while Aster Hospital Mankhool received recognition in Orthopedics, including two PROMs-based distinctions. Medcare Hospital Al Safa was listed for Gastroenterology; Medcare Hospital Sharjah for Neurology; Medcare Orthopedics & Spine Hospital for Orthopedics; and Medcare Women & Children Hospital for Pediatrics.

Beyond the UAE, three hospitals in Oman and Qatar were also featured. Aster Royal Al Raffah Hospital in Muscat secured recognition across five major specialties — Gastroenterology, Neurology, Oncology, Orthopedics, and Pediatrics — marking one of the most extensive specialty representations in the country. Aster Al Raffah Hospital in Sohar was recognised for Gastroenterology, while Aster Hospital Qatar was listed for Gastroenterology and Pediatrics.

Alisha Moopen, Managing Director and Group CEO, Aster DM Healthcare GCC, said the achievement reflects the Group’s strong clinical ecosystem and commitment to specialised care.“With 9 hospitals being recognized for multiple specialties across GCC, it is a reflection of the strength of our clinical ecosystem and medical expertise within Aster. As we deepen our focus on specialized, outcome-driven care, we remain committed to building a future where patients across the Middle East can access world-class expertise close to home.” she said.

The Newsweek rankings, developed in partnership with Statista, highlight hospitals excelling across six high-impact specialties in seven Middle Eastern countries. Evaluations are based on peer recommendations, accreditation standards, and the adoption of Patient-Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs), a global benchmark for quality of care.

With 15 hospitals across the GCC, Aster DM Healthcare continues to strengthen its regional presence by expanding centres of excellence, integrating advanced diagnostics, and standardising best-practice clinical protocols. The inclusion of nine hospitals in the 2026 list further cements Aster’s position as one of the region’s most trusted providers of high-quality, specialised healthcare.
