News DeskFujairah, UAE: Training has begun for 200 students across Fujairah as part of the Fujairah Mental Arithmetic Championship, launched under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah.
The initiative is designed to sharpen students’ mental arithmetic abilities through an intensive developmental programme implemented by Smart Brain, a specialised centre for numerical and cognitive skill enhancement. The training aims to prepare students for advanced arithmetic competitions by equipping them with fast and accurate calculation skills.
Dr Ahmed Hamdan Al Zeyoudi, Director of the Office of His Highness the Crown Prince of Fujairah, said the programme reflects the Crown Prince’s vision of investing in young talent and building a generation capable of contributing to the emirate’s future development.
“This programme is a pivotal step, providing specialised training to elevate students’ abilities to advanced levels and equipping them with the confidence and competence needed to face challenges,” he said. “Working with this distinguished group reflects the emirate’s commitment to empowering talent and cultivating an educational environment that supports intellectual and creative growth.”
Dr Al Zeyoudi added that the Government of Fujairah remains committed to supporting innovative educational initiatives that strengthen critical thinking and problem-solving skills among students.
The Fujairah Mental Arithmetic Championship adopts modern training methodologies supported by cognitive development research, promoting excellence and creativity across schools in the emirate.
At the end of the programme, students will undergo performance evaluations based on strict criteria, with top achievers advancing to higher-level mental arithmetic competitions aimed at showcasing outstanding young talent and encouraging positive competition.
