Dubai: Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi (CCAD), with the support of the Dubai Sports Council (DSC) and organised by Plan b Group, has announced the return of the Cancer Run 2026, set to take place at Dubai Festival City on February 7, 2026.

Now in its third year, the annual event aims to promote community well-being, encourage healthier lifestyles and raise awareness about cancer prevention, early detection and regular screening. Open to participants of all ages and fitness levels, the run invites families, individuals and professional athletes to come together in solidarity with those affected by cancer.

The Cancer Run will feature four race categories — 1km, 3km, 5km and 10km — ensuring accessibility for beginners, families and seasoned runners alike. Hydration points and medical support will be available along the routes to ensure participant safety.

Eissa Sharif, Director of the Sports Events Department at the Dubai Sports Council, said the event reflects Dubai’s commitment to community health and unity through sport. “Events like the Cancer Run empower individuals and families to take charge of their health while coming together for a meaningful cause,” he said.

Dr. Stephen Grobmyer, Institute Chief, Breast Surgery, Cancer Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, said the run has become a symbol of collective determination. “By engaging with the community, we continue our mission to make prevention, regular screening and early detection a priority,” he noted.

Dr. Harmeek Singh, Founder and Chairman of Plan b Group, highlighted the importance of awareness, saying the event reinforces the life-saving value of early detection. “Together, let’s cross the finish line of hope,” he said.

Al-Futtaim Real Estate, the host partner at Dubai Festival City, also reiterated its support for the initiative. Hayssam El Masri, Executive Director – Assets, said supporting the Cancer Run aligns with the company’s commitment to fostering community well-being and creating spaces that bring people together.

Registration for the Cancer Run 2026 is now open via Premier Online, with entry fees set at Dh50 for children and Dh75 for adults. Registration closes four days before race day, with limited slots available.

Competitive runners will have the opportunity to win cash prizes and medals in the 5km and 10km categories for both men and women, with prizes of up to Dh2,000 for first place in the 10km race.
