Born at 2:41 a.m. to Nigerian nationals Kafayat Uyomide, 36, and her 29-year-old husband, the newborn weighed a healthy 3.27 kilograms. The couple, welcoming their first child, were brimming with elation.
“I am very happy; I cannot explain my joy. This is my first baby,” shared the new mother, her sentiments capturing the profound moment. Hospital authorities confirmed that both mother and her daughter, recorded as Baby of Kafayat, are in excellent health and receiving comprehensive postnatal care.
Simultaneously, at Thumbay Hospital in Fujairah, the first minute of January 1, 2026, was marked by the arrival of a bouncing baby boy. Born precisely at midnight to an Indian family, the son of Aswathy Krishnan entered the world weighing a robust 4.26 kg, delivered via Lower Segment Cesarean Section (LSCS).

Medical staff reported that the procedure was successful, and both the infant and his mother are in prime condition. They are currently under dedicated neonatal and postnatal observation at the hospital’s specialized care unit.
