Dubai, UAE – The General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai (GDRFA Dubai) has officially launched its new community engagement campaign, “Closer to You,” at Global Village, one of Dubai’s most popular family destinations. The initiative, which began this week and will continue until 5 February 2026, aims to bring government services directly to the public while fostering trust, accessibility, and meaningful interaction with the community.
Designed as an open and welcoming platform, the initiative combines service delivery, public awareness, and interactive experiences in line with the UAE’s people-first governance approach. It reflects GDRFA Dubai’s ongoing commitment to enhancing residents’ quality of life through innovative and customer-focused service models.

The “Closer to You” platform features several specialized informational zones where visitors can access a wide range of services, including Entry Permit and Golden Residency services, Identity and Nationality services, Work Permit services, Children’s Passport Control, the 04 Platform, the Red Carpet Corridor, and the Happiness Card. All services are delivered through a seamless and simplified process, making them easily accessible to the public.
Beyond administrative services, the initiative adopts a family-oriented and interactive approach. Visitors of all ages can participate in educational games, engaging activities, and immersive experiences. Daily surprises and weekly prize draws add to the vibrant atmosphere, creating a dynamic environment that encourages positive community engagement.

By establishing a direct presence at Global Village, GDRFA Dubai is moving beyond traditional government service delivery models. The initiative emphasizes active listening and sustained engagement with the public, reinforcing confidence in government institutions and contributing to higher levels of satisfaction and happiness among residents and visitors alike.
