Dubai: Dubai added another milestone to its growing global sports portfolio as Hood to Coast Dubai 2026 concluded with resounding success in the scenic Al Marmoom Desert Conservation Reserve, bringing together more than 800 runners representing over 35 nationalities for a 100-kilometre team relay.
Backed by the Dubai Sports Council, the event marked the Middle East debut of the internationally acclaimed Hood to Coast relay series, originally founded in the United States and now hosted across several continents. For the first time, athletes from around the world gathered in Dubai to take part in a relay that celebrated teamwork, endurance, cultural diversity and community spirit against the dramatic backdrop of the UAE desert.
The team Let’s Get Stronger Together clinched first place with an impressive finishing time of 06:30:47, earning a full sponsorship package to compete in Hood to Coast China 2026, including flights and accommodation. Active Fitness Community secured second place with a time of 07:04:30, while Trail Runners DXB finished third in 07:11:17, with both teams also receiving travel and participation incentives for the China edition.
Throughout the day, runners navigated a challenging course combining desert tracks, paved roads and open terrain, supported by cheering teammates and spectators at strategically positioned exchange points. The atmosphere reflected the true spirit of relay racing – cooperation, resilience and shared achievement.
Felicia Hubber, Global Chairwoman of Hood to Coast, described the event as “a global celebration of health, unity and Dubai’s vision as a world-class sports destination.”

With participants arriving from China, the United States, Europe, Asia and the GCC, the event highlighted Dubai’s growing reputation as a hub for international sporting events. Supported by partners including Geely, Zeekr and Lynk & Co., Hood to Coast Dubai 2026 set new standards for endurance relay racing in the region.
Organisers have confirmed plans to expand the event in future editions, cementing Hood to Coast Dubai as a permanent fixture on the global running calendar.
