Dubai, UAE – Alpen Capital and Alpen Asset Advisors hosted the 22nd edition of their flagship Global Fusion concert, delivering a moving evening of music that celebrated cultural harmony, artistic excellence, and remembrance. Held under the theme Timeless Rhythms, the concert featured a captivating lineup of internationally acclaimed musicians, including six performers who collectively hold nine GRAMMY Awards.
This year’s edition was dedicated to the memory of the organisation’s late Executive Chairman and CEO, Rohit Walia, who passed away on the eve of the event. In consultation with his family, the decision was taken to proceed with the concert, transforming the evening into a heartfelt tribute to his life, his passion for music, and the values he championed.
The performance was led by three-time GRAMMY Award–winning flautist, producer, and composer Wouter Kellerman, whose work is renowned for bridging musical traditions across continents. He was joined by an exceptional ensemble of global artistes, including cellist Vesislava Todorova from Bulgaria, guitarist Mauritz Lotz from South Africa, keyboardist Wessel van Rensburg from the Netherlands, santoor virtuoso Hamid Saeidi from Iran, percussionist MB Gordy from the USA, and bassist Carlos E. Rodriguez from Cuba.

Adding a spiritual dimension to the evening, Indian American business leader and internationally celebrated vocalist Chandrika Tandon performed ancient Sanskrit chants, infusing the concert with a deep sense of reflection and serenity. Tandon recently won a GRAMMY Award at the 2025 GRAMMYs alongside Wouter Kellerman and Japanese cellist Eru Matsumoto for their album Triveni, which was recognised in the Best New Age, Ambient, or Chant Album category.
Continuing its tradition of supporting local talent, the concert also showcased Emirati oud artiste Abdel Rahman Al Blooshi, who performed alongside the international ensemble, highlighting the UAE’s rich musical heritage.

Over more than two decades, Global Fusion has become one of the UAE’s most anticipated cultural events, bringing together world-class musicians while providing a unique platform for Emirati artistes to share the stage with global performers. The 2026 edition reaffirmed the concert’s enduring legacy as a celebration of music’s timeless ability to connect people across cultures and generations.
