Dubai, UAE – Food and grocery delivery platform talabat enabled more than €26 million in combined rider tips and charitable donations across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) in 2025, underscoring the growing role of digital platforms in everyday social impact.
According to the company’s 2025 Giving Back Impact results, customers contributed over €20 million in rider tips, paid entirely to delivery riders, alongside €6.45 million in donations through in-app charitable giving features. The donations were distributed via partnerships with more than 50 licensed regional and international charities and NGOs.
The contributions supported initiatives spanning food security, humanitarian relief, and rider livelihoods across talabat’s operating markets. The company said all funds were routed through accredited and verified partners to ensure transparency and accountability.
“talabat is more than a delivery app — it is a platform that connects people to opportunity, dignity and support at scale,” said May Youssef, Senior Director of Corporate Affairs at talabat. She noted that the company’s technology enables “millions of small acts of generosity” to create measurable impact for families, charities, and riders.

At the country level, Simonida Subotic, Vice President and Managing Director of talabat UAE, said the UAE business plays a key role in facilitating seamless and trusted giving through the app, supporting both riders and charitable organisations nationwide.
Giving Back donations and rider tipping are embedded as permanent features within talabat’s digital platform, allowing customers to contribute during routine food and grocery orders. The company emphasized that neither donations nor tips are retained by the platform, with funds flowing directly to riders and partner organisations.
By integrating social impact tools into its core technology, talabat positions itself among the region’s largest digital channels for everyday charitable giving, while continuing to serve millions of customers across the UAE and wider MENA region.
