Dubai, UAE: AGMC marked a significant milestone in the expansion of BMW Group’s retail and service network in the UAE with the groundbreaking ceremony of a new multi-brand facility in Ras Al Khor, Dubai. The development reinforces BMW Group’s long-term commitment to the region and supports AGMC’s continued investment across Dubai, Sharjah and the Northern Emirates.
The ceremony was attended by senior representatives from both AGMC and BMW Group, highlighting the strength of their strategic partnership. Representing AGMC were Sheikh Mohammed Al Qasimi, Board Member and Director for Sharjah and the Northern Emirates; Dr. Hamid Haqpawar, Managing Director; and Atiqur Rahman, Director of Operations & Finance. BMW Group was represented by Ritu Chandy, Senior Vice President for Asia-Pacific, Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa, and Karim-Christian Haririan, Managing Director of BMW Group Middle East.
Strategically located in Ras Al Khor—one of Dubai’s most established automotive and logistics hubs—the new facility is envisioned as a premium BMW destination, integrating retail and high-capacity aftersales operations under one roof. Once completed, the development will span 2,500 square metres, excluding parking bays, and will be dedicated exclusively to BMW, MINI and BMW Motorrad brands.
The facility will be developed in line with BMW’s global Retail.Next concept, a customer-centric showroom format designed to redefine the vehicle purchasing journey. The concept prioritizes comfort, digital integration and personalized interaction over traditional showroom layouts.
Commenting on the occasion, Dr. Hamid Haqpawar, Managing Director of AGMC, said the groundbreaking represents “an important milestone in AGMC’s journey and our continued investment in the market,” adding that the new facility reflects a strong focus on enhancing the customer experience in close partnership with BMW Group.
Karim-Christian Haririan, Managing Director of BMW Group Middle East, described the project as a key step in strengthening BMW’s presence in the UAE, noting that the new facility will ensure a seamless ownership experience by offering “the pinnacle of luxury automotive service.”
The Ras Al Khor multi-brand facility forms part of AGMC’s broader vision to elevate customer experience and move toward a seamless mobility ecosystem. Further details, including construction timelines, are expected to be announced in due course.
