Crewe: Bentley Motors today revealed the Bentayga X Concept at the iconic FAT Ice Race, showcasing a more extreme vision of its luxury SUV while marking the beginning of a new multi-year partnership with FAT International.
Developed to gather customer and enthusiast feedback, the Bentayga X Concept explores the outer limits of the model’s off-road capability—one of the three pillars of the Bentayga range alongside performance and rear-seat luxury. While the Bentayga Speed prioritizes dynamic driving and the Extended Wheelbase emphasizes passenger comfort, the X Concept focuses squarely on adventure beyond paved roads.
Based on the Bentayga Speed, the concept is powered by Bentley’s 650 PS 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8, paired with permanent four-wheel drive and an eight-speed transmission. It retains air suspension with Bentley Dynamic Ride, the brand’s 48-volt electric active anti-roll system, but introduces substantial chassis and suspension upgrades for serious off-road use.
Forged single-piece 22-inch wheels from specialist manufacturer Brixton are wrapped in high-profile off-road tyres, while the track width has been widened by 120 mm for improved stability. Ride height has increased by 55 mm, pushing ground clearance to nearly 310 mm and enabling a wading depth of more than 550 mm. To accommodate the wider stance, wheel arches have been extended outward by 40 mm.
The exterior design remains deliberately functional. Roof-mounted storage and four auxiliary spotlights support extended off-road journeys, while a Bambino-size electric go-kart—used in the FAT Karting League—demonstrates the vehicle’s added cargo capability. These additions bring the Bentayga X Concept’s total height to 2.49 metres. At the rear, the Akrapovic titanium sports exhaust remains a visual focal point, complemented by twin front towing eyes.
Bentley’s presence at the FAT Ice Race goes beyond the concept reveal. The event, which celebrates automotive culture through racing, exhibitions and unique formats such as Skijöring, marks the official start of Bentley’s partnership with FAT International. The collaboration will continue at upcoming FAT Ice Race events in Big Sky, Montana, and with a 24-hour takeover of FAT Mankei in Austria later this year.
Also on display in Zell am See are several of Bentley’s most distinctive models, including Travis Pastrana’s uniquely liveried Supersports, the newly announced Continental GTC S, and a global dynamic debut of the Continental GT S coupe on ice. A Bentayga Speed and the Speed Six Continuations Series Car Zero from Mulliner complete the showcase.

Adding spectacle to the weekend, broadcaster and car culture figure Chris Harris will pilot the Bentayga Speed in the Skijöring event, towing Norwegian freestyle skier Hedvig Wessel. French racing driver Laura Villars will drive the Continental GT S, while Bentley Heritage Collection head Mike Sayer takes the wheel of the Speed Six.
Founded as a European logistics company with a motorsport pedigree that includes overall victory at the 1994 24 Hours of Le Mans, FAT International today blends fashion, motorsport and community-driven experiences. Through initiatives like the FAT Karting League—featuring electric karts on Birel chassis—the brand aims to reshape grassroots racing worldwide.
With the Bentayga X Concept, Bentley signals that luxury and extreme off-road capability may soon coexist at a new level within its SUV lineup.
