Fujairah, UAE: Reinforcing its commitment to community health and preventive care, Thumbay Hospital Fujairah recently organized a Free Mega Health Camp in collaboration with Kairali Association – Fujairah in February 2026. The large-scale initiative drew a strong turnout, with hundreds of residents benefiting from a wide range of complimentary medical services offered throughout the day.
Centered on the principle that prevention remains the cornerstone of good health, the camp provided residents with access to free consultations across multiple specialties, alongside diagnostic support including laboratory tests, X-rays, ECG, and ultrasound services. The enthusiastic participation highlighted an increasing awareness among community members about the value of routine health screening and early detection.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Manish Singhal, Chief Operating Officer of Thumbay Hospital Fujairah, emphasized that accessible and proactive healthcare continues to be at the heart of the hospital’s mission. He noted that initiatives such as the Mega Health Camp are designed not only to identify potential health concerns at an early stage but also to encourage individuals to take informed steps toward maintaining their well-being. Dr. Singhal also acknowledged the collaboration with Kairali Association – Fujairah as a key factor in successfully reaching and engaging the wider community.
Offering clinical insight, Dr. C. R. Sathyanarayanan, Medical Director and Head of Internal Medicine, highlighted the growing importance of preventive medicine in shaping long-term health outcomes. He explained that screening large numbers of individuals through such initiatives enables timely medical advice and intervention, helping to minimize the risk of complications before conditions progress.
The smooth execution of the camp was made possible through the coordinated efforts of a multidisciplinary team comprising physicians, nurses, and paramedical staff. From registration to consultations and diagnostic services, the workflow was structured to ensure a seamless and patient-friendly experience for all attendees.
Sharing the broader perspective of Thumbay Healthcare’s outreach efforts, Akbar Moideen Thumbay, Vice President – Healthcare Division, reiterated that community engagement forms a fundamental part of the group’s healthcare philosophy. He stated that while the organization continues to deliver advanced tertiary care within its hospitals, equal emphasis is placed on extending preventive and accessible services directly to communities across the UAE. According to him, each outreach program strengthens the connection between healthcare providers and the public, enabling quality care to reach individuals before medical conditions escalate.
Akbar further noted that Thumbay Healthcare’s continued investments in modern diagnostic technology, specialist expertise, and patient-centered service models across its network underpin such initiatives. Facilities including advanced imaging systems, comprehensive laboratory services, emergency and critical care units, internal medicine departments, and multidisciplinary specialty clinics collectively reflect the group’s commitment to delivering holistic care. Programs like the Mega Health Camp, he added, serve as practical extensions of these capabilities into the community.
Thumbay Hospital Fujairah concluded the event by expressing appreciation to the leadership and volunteers of Kairali Association – Fujairah for their active involvement and support in mobilizing residents. The successful Mega Health Camp marks another step in the hospital’s ongoing efforts to advance preventive healthcare, promote early diagnosis, and enhance community well-being across Fujairah and neighboring regions.
