Dubai, UAE: Big Bad Wolf Books will officially open on Thursday, February 26, at Dubai Studio City, launching this year’s much-anticipated sale that is expected to draw thousands of visitors from across the emirate and beyond. Known globally for its large-scale book fairs, BBW will once again bring more than one million titles under a single roof, with prices starting from just AED 2.

Running daily from 10:00 AM until 2:00 AM with free entry, the event will continue through March 8. Organisers say the extended hours are designed to accommodate families and working visitors, with evening periods anticipated to be among the busiest as residents look for enriching leisure options.

This year’s theme, “Beyond the Noise,” reflects a growing push toward mindful reading in an era dominated by digital distractions. The concept encourages visitors to reconnect with books as reliable sources of knowledge and thoughtful reflection, while also promoting reading as a shared family activity rather than an individual pursuit. Inside the venue, families are expected to spend time browsing together, children exploring new stories, and parents rediscovering the joy of building home libraries.

Andrew Yap, Co-founder of BBW Books, described the Dubai return as both timely and purposeful. He noted that the theme responds to modern lifestyles shaped by constant online engagement, adding that the event environment offers a space where visitors can slow down and immerse themselves in deeper learning experiences.

Yap also emphasised affordability as a core principle behind the initiative. By offering books at highly accessible price points, he said the sale aims to remove cost barriers that often limit reading habits within households. The approach, he added, supports the broader goal of encouraging consistent book ownership and making reading a sustainable family routine.

Highlighting the event’s wider impact, Yap pointed to its role within Dubai’s evolving cultural landscape. Literary initiatives such as BBW, he said, contribute to strengthening the city’s creative economy while supporting long-term knowledge development, critical thinking, and community engagement through shared cultural experiences.

Visitors can expect a diverse range of titles, including fiction and non-fiction works, children’s literature, cookbooks, educational materials, and self-development books — reinforcing BBW’s reputation as one of the region’s most expansive and accessible book sales.

Beyond book browsing, the venue will feature a dedicated food truck zone, comfortable seating areas, and specially designed children’s corners to enhance the visitor experience. A series of interactive workshops and creative sessions scheduled throughout the event will further engage young readers through storytelling, hands-on activities, and imaginative learning.

With its blend of affordability, scale, and community-focused programming, Big Bad Wolf Books Dubai 2026 is positioning itself not only as a retail event, but as a platform aimed at nurturing a lasting culture of reading across the emirate.
