Dubai: Daniil Medvedev has been awarded his second Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships title in four years on Saturday after Dutch player Tallon Griekspoor was forced to withdraw from the ATP 500 men’s final due to injury.
Griekspoor had picked up a left hamstring issue during his hard-fought semi-final win over Andrey Rublev on Friday. Following a medical evaluation, the Dutchman was ruled unfit to compete, handing Medvedev the title in unfortunate circumstances.

The result marks another strong chapter for Medvedev in Dubai, where he continues to enjoy success on the tournament stage.
