Dubai, UAE – The China International Chamber of Commerce, in cooperation with Dubai Police — represented by the Positive Spirit Council and Al Rashidiya Police Station — organised a four-day Iftar initiative at the Dragon Mart in Dubai, distributing 10,000 meals to fasters. The initiative reflects a shared commitment to solidarity, compassion, and community responsibility during the holy month.

The event was attended by Fatima Buhajeer, Chairperson of the Positive Spirit Council; Jin Guozhong and Li Yongmei from the China International Chamber of Commerce; senior Chinese investors; Dubai Police officers; and Positive Spirit members including First Lieutenant Mohammed Al Muhairi and Corporal First Ahmed Salem. Thirty volunteers from the Chinese community took part in meal distribution.

Strengthening Community Bonds

Fatima Buhajeer said the initiative embodies the spirit of togetherness and reflects the noble values of Ramadan. “Such initiatives strengthen social solidarity, bring joy to fasters, and share the spiritual atmosphere of the holy month,” she added.

She noted that the initiative aligns with Dubai Police’s ongoing efforts to implement community programmes that promote giving and humanitarian work, and strengthen partnerships with various communities — supporting charitable efforts across society.

Buhajeer praised the active volunteer participation, describing it as a reflection of the UAE’s spirit of cooperation and giving, especially during Ramadan. She also commended the fruitful cooperation with the China International Chamber of Commerce, highlighting how such collaborations enhance quality of life and reinforce values of coexistence and tolerance.

Commitment to Community Responsibility

Jin Guozhong, representing the China International Chamber of Commerce, stated that the Chamber’s participation stems from its commitment to community responsibility and support for charitable initiatives.
