News DeskDubai, UAE – Dubai Police’s Future Foresight Centre, in cooperation with the General Department of Training and the Hypatia Training Centre, has organised a workshop for police personnel titled ‘The Future of Digital Currencies and Security Challenges in a Changing World’. The session is part of the Force’s approved training plan that aims to enhance security preparedness, explore rapid developments in digital currencies, and address associated security risks.
Brigadier Dr. Expert Hamdan Al Ghasyah, Director of the Future Foresight Centre, said the workshop reflects Dubai Police’s commitment to staying ahead of evolving security threats in the digital economy. “We aim to equip our personnel with foresight skills and a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities related to digital currencies,” he added.
He further emphasised that Dubai Police is at the forefront of law enforcement agencies in adopting modern scientific methods across security fields, ensuring that trainees gain critical skills to support informed decision-making in a rapidly changing environment.
Meanwhile, Amal Fadel Matar Al Mazrouei, Director of the Future Exploration Department, highlighted the importance of such workshops in raising awareness of financial technology and digital security. She noted that the session covered key topics including the fundamentals of digital currencies, blockchain’s role in modern finance, cybersecurity threats facing users and investors, global cryptocurrency trends, and best practices for protecting digital assets.
