Dubai: The France Pavilion, organized by Business France, is set to feature a remarkable delegation of 96 French companies specializing in beauty and cosmetics at Beautyworld Middle East. From October 28 to 30, 2024, visitors and professionals will have the opportunity to explore Hall 2 of the Dubai World Trade Centre, where the latest innovations in the beauty industry will be showcased. Attendees can expect to discover cutting-edge products, including high-tech facial masks, radiant complexion fluids, fragrances that merge pleasure with neuroscience, as well as natural and organic beauty solutions.

A key highlight of the pavilion is the French Buzz Zone, where 14 innovative French companies will be presenting their latest offerings. This further emphasizes France’s leadership in beauty and wellness, showcasing its global influence in the cosmetics industry.

As the 28th edition of Beautyworld Middle East unfolds, France’s dominant role in the global cosmetics industry will be on full display. Renowned for its unique combination of tradition and modernity, French brands consistently deliver high-quality products that meet the demands of consumers worldwide. French laboratories, known for their leadership in research and development, prioritize the use of natural and sustainable ingredients, while embracing cutting-edge technology.

In 2023, French cosmetics achieved significant success, claiming 27% of global sales in beauty and skincare products, and 21% in fragrances. French private labels continue to distinguish themselves, offering premium products at competitive prices. In the world of perfumery, French creations are synonymous with luxury and elegance, making them essential products in the global beauty market.

The Middle East: A Key Market for French Cosmetics

The Middle East, with Dubai at its forefront, offers fertile ground for French cosmetics companies. The region is particularly strong in fragrances (45% of the market), make-up (38%), and skincare (13%), aligning with the innovation and quality that French brands bring.

In Saudi Arabia, high-tech facial masks and anti-aging creams are in demand, while Egyptian consumers gravitate towards natural-origin products. In Kuwait, cosmetics and perfumes are a priority, with an average monthly expenditure of $500 per person, making France the largest cosmetics supplier with a 21% market share. Overall, the Middle East plays a pivotal role in expanding France’s influence, with 70% of French cosmetics production destined for export.

There is a growing interest in clean beauty products across the Middle East, as consumers increasingly value transparency and sustainability. French brands are at the forefront of this trend, combining traditional methods with modern science to promote holistic beauty and wellness. This resonates with the region’s preference for brands that focus on inner health as well as outer beauty.

Several standout French companies will be featured at the pavilion, including Feî Paris, known for its natural dermo-cosmetic treatments; La Reine Capricieuse, which offers products made exclusively from natural active ingredients; L’Officine du Thé, a specialist in Nigella Sativa for skin health; and Mon SHAMPOING, a new haircare line based on personalized natural solutions.
