Dubai: Alisha Moopen, Managing Director and Group CEO of Aster DM Healthcare GCC, was awarded the esteemed “Pravasi Bhushan” Award by the Honorable Governor of West Bengal, Dr. C.V. Ananda Bose, in a ceremony held at Aster Medcity, Kochi, India. The award acknowledges her outstanding leadership and enduring commitment to advancing global healthcare, enhancing both the accessibility and quality of care for millions.

Present at the event were distinguished figures including MP Shri Hibi Eden, Anoop Moopen, Non-Executive Director of Aster DM Healthcare, and senior leadership members and doctors from Aster.

Under Moopen’s leadership, since joining the company in 2013, Aster DM Healthcare has seen tremendous growth, expanding its footprint in the GCC and beyond. The healthcare giant operates a robust network of 16 hospitals, 121 clinics, and 306 pharmacies across the GCC, employing over 14,500 healthcare professionals, including approximately 1,806 doctors and 3,826 nurses. In India, the Aster network comprises 19 hospitals with a total of 4,994 beds, 13 clinics, 212 pharmacies, and 232 labs and patient experience centers across five states.

Expressing her gratitude, Moopen stated, “I am deeply honored to receive the Pravasi Bhushan Award from His Excellency, Dr. Ananda Bose. A Chartered Accountant trained at ICAS and a distinguished alumna of the University of Michigan, Ms. Moopen also holds a Global Leadership degree from Harvard University. Her expertise in finance and strategic growth has been instrumental in Aster’s expansion into new markets, solidifying its position as one of the GCC’s largest healthcare providers.

The Pravasi Bhushan Award highlights Aster DM Healthcare’s ongoing dedication to delivering high-quality, accessible healthcare across multiple regions and making a meaningful impact on medical innovation and patient care worldwide.
