Sharjah-Pakistan Business Roundtable Highlights Shared Vision for Economic Growth

Sharjah, UAE – The Sharjah FDI Office (Invest in Sharjah) and the Pakistan Business Council in Sharjah successfully hosted the Sharjah-Pakistan Business Roundtable. The event saw a robust turnout of over 200 investors and entrepreneurs, aiming to bolster economic ties and stimulate bilateral investments between Sharjah and Pakistan.

Hussain Muhammad, Consul General of Pakistan, emphasized the deep-rooted and historic relationship between Pakistan and the UAE during his address. Highlighting shared values and traditions, he noted the mutual commitment to progress that has fortified the bond between the two nations. He acknowledged the mutual trust and confidence shared by the leadership of both countries, which fuels their strong desire to enhance political, trade, and economic relations.

“Pakistan, with its resilient economy, skilled workforce, and abundant natural resources, presents vast opportunities for collaboration,” stated Mr. Hussain. He pointed out Pakistan’s diverse economy, which includes thriving sectors such as agriculture, textiles, information technology, and renewable energy, offering lucrative prospects for Sharjah’s investors and businesses.

The establishment of the Pakistan Business Council in Sharjah was highlighted by the Consul General as a significant step in the growing collaboration between the two nations. He expressed optimism that the Council would play a pivotal role in supporting Pakistani investors, facilitating partnerships, and advancing mutual economic interests.

The event was honored by the presence of Sheikh Fahim Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Department of Government Relations (DGR) in Sharjah. Sheikh Fahim praised the Pakistani community in the UAE for their invaluable contributions across various sectors and commended the enduring ties between Sharjah and Pakistan.

Mohamed Juma Al Musharrkh, CEO of Invest in Sharjah, reinforced the robust economic bridge between Sharjah and Pakistan, underscoring the mutual respect and trust that form the foundation of this relationship. He expressed confidence in the potential for further collaboration, highlighting Sharjah’s dynamic business ecosystem and Pakistan’s vibrant industries as complementary strengths.

A highlight of the Roundtable was an engaging panel discussion featuring key leaders from both Sharjah and Pakistan. Participants included Saif Al Suwaidi, Director of Sharjah Publishing City Freezone, Marwan Alichla, Director of Investment Promotion and Support at Invest in Sharjah, Amir Hassan, Founder and Chairman of Diyar Group, and Hiba Al Marzouqi, Head of Business Councils and Common Committees Section at Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The Sharjah-Pakistan Business Roundtable served as a testament to the flourishing economic partnership between Sharjah and Pakistan, fostering new opportunities for collaboration and mutual growth.
