News DeskAbu Dhabi, UAE – Silal, a leading agri-food and technology company in Abu Dhabi, has announced a Musataha agreement with KEZAD Group at the Abu Dhabi International Food Exhibition (ADIFE). This partnership will establish two groundbreaking AgTech projects in Al Ain Industrial City, focusing on sustainable farming and enhancing local food production.
The first project, in collaboration with Iyris, a global leader in sustainable AgriClimate Tech, will develop a revolutionary indoor farming initiative. Spanning 50,000 square meters (equivalent to 10 football fields), this project aims to cultivate premium berries. It addresses the challenges of producing high-quality crops in the UAE’s desert climate and aligns with Silal’s mission to advance local food production, reduce import dependency, and innovate in agricultural technology.
The second initiative will utilize advanced controlled-environment agriculture technologies across 100,000 square meters to grow high-value crops. This project aims to significantly reduce water consumption, minimize carbon emissions, and maximize year-round yields, supporting the UAE’s vision for food sustainability and environmental stewardship.
