Abu Dhabi, UAE – In a fitting finale to his F4 career, Rashid Al Dhaheri, the UAE’s leading racer, set two pole positions and took the chequered flag in both F4 Formula Trophy races at his home circuit during the Abu Dhabi GP weekend. Despite a post-race penalty in the first race, Al Dhaheri dominated the weekend ahead of his move up to Formula 3 Regional.
Al Dhaheri showcased his prowess by securing pole positions and dominating the races. He will not compete in the last Formula Trophy race meeting on December 13-14 at Yas Marina, as he will be handing over his Prema team car to another driver to focus on preparing for the next challenge. Al Dhaheri leaves the championship as the outright leader with a 27-point advantage over his nearest rival.
“I am so pleased for the team and everyone who has supported me over the years. We came back to my home circuit in Abu Dhabi, where I started my karting career, and produced great results. I was the fastest car throughout the weekend, which I proved by driving from pole to flag in the second race. The incredible support from fans in the UAE gives me additional motivation for my move to Formula 3 Regional,” said Al Dhaheri.
Al Dhaheri has completed two years of racing in the Italian F4 and Euro F4 series and will remain with Prema Racing Team, who has supported him since the start of his single-seat career. Prema Racing will provide his car for next year’s Formula 3 Regional season, which begins in April on F1 circuits in Europe.
The 2025 season will be the fifth for FRECA, the only FIA-certified series bridging Formula 4 and Formula 3 on the FIA global pathway. FRECA has established itself as essential for young drivers aiming to climb the motorsport ladder.
Rashid Al Dhaheri’s impressive performance and dedication mark a promising transition to the next stage of his racing career, with fans eagerly awaiting his continued success in Formula 3 Regional.
