His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, has underlined the significance of the jurisdiction of Bur Dubai Police Station, which is considered the largest in Dubai, encompassing the emirate’s notable landmarks such as Burj Khalifa, Dubai Frame, Museum of the Future, the Dubai World Trade Centre, among other prominent locations. He emphasised that this necessitates harnessing all resources to deliver customers the highest level of services.
Lt. Gen. Al Marri made the remarks while conducting an inspection of the operations at Bur Dubai Police Station as part of the annual inspection program of the general departments and police stations.
KPIs
During the inspection visit, the station’s strategic indicators were examined, including the security coverage rate across the jurisdiction, 100% officer presence at report sites, and an average emergency response time of two minutes and six seconds, significantly under the target of three minutes.
Additionally, the Commander-in-Chief appreciated the Traffic Records Section’s efforts in ensuring road users’ safety and preserving lives through effective patrols and traffic campaigns in collaboration with the General Department of Traffic, as well as their efforts in organising awareness lectures in schools as part of the ‘Schools Security’ initiative.
Lt. Gen. Al Marri also highlighted the Station’s accomplishments, particularly achieving first place in the Cognitive Projects ‘Service System’ and ‘Detective Guide’, second place in the Volunteering Platform, and third place in implementing Health and Safety Procedures among police stations.
Customer Happiness
Lt. Gen. Al Marri reviewed the statistics from the Customer Happiness Centre at Bur Dubai Police Station, which completed an impressive 42,632 smart transactions last year, encompassing SPS services and applications of Dubai Police on smartphones.
Victim Support
Lt. Gen. Al Marri lauded the efforts of the Victim Communication Section at the station, which achieved a 100% communication rate with both criminal and traffic victims, within seven working days in 2022.
Employee Happiness
Lt. Gen. Al Marri took note of the initiatives and programmes implemented by the station for their staff, resulting in a 95.7% job satisfaction rate. This impressive accomplishment has been achieved through regular meetings with the station’s director or his deputy and various happiness initiatives that successfully motivated 100% of the staff.
Bur Dubai Volunteers
Lt. Gen. Al Marri honoured external volunteers who participated in various community initiatives, with their volunteering hours totalling 11,150 in the jurisdiction of the Bur Dubai Police Station. They were presented with certificates of appreciation and ‘Esaad Cards’, acknowledging their efforts and encouraging others to contribute to volunteering.
