Dubai, UAE – The Consul General of Pakistan, Hussain Muhammad, convened a meeting today with the newly appointed Board of the Pakistan Business Council (PBC) Dubai at the Consulate General of Pakistan.
During the meeting, Shabbir Merchant, Chairman of the PBC, introduced the new board members and presented the council’s strategic roadmap for 2025-2026. Merchant highlighted the council’s commitment to bolstering the Pakistan-UAE relationship through collaborative initiatives in trade, investment, and cultural exchanges. He emphasized the council’s focus on leveraging mutual growth opportunities and fostering a stronger connection between the two nations.

Hussain Muhammad congratulated the new board members and commended PBC’s ongoing efforts to promote Pakistan’s economic potential in the UAE. He encouraged the council to take proactive measures to enhance bilateral trade and investment, urging business leaders to explore opportunities in Pakistan’s diverse sectors, including IT, manufacturing, agriculture, and tourism.
“Pakistan offers immense potential for trade and investment, supported by the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) serving as a single-window facilitator for investors,” said the Consul General. He encouraged the PBC to act as a bridge for creating and expanding partnerships between the two nations.
The Consul General assured the council of the Consulate’s full support and reaffirmed the mission’s commitment to strengthening Pakistan-UAE ties.

Also in attendance were Ali Zeb Khan, Trade & Investment Counsellor, senior consulate officials, and members of the Pakistan Business Council.
This meeting marks a renewed focus on fostering economic cooperation and deepening the bond between Pakistan and the UAE, setting the stage for future growth and collaboration.
