Dubai, UAE – The world’s first Broadway-style mega musical, Rajadhiraaj: Love Life Leela, celebrating the life and legacy of Shri Krishna, opened to a spellbound full house at Dubai Opera on March 13, 2025. Marking its international debut, the production captivated audiences, particularly from the Indian diaspora, with its grandeur, live music, and theatrical innovation. The show will run through March 16, promising an immersive journey into the divine tales of Krishna.
Produced by Bhoomi Nathwani and Dhanraj Nathwani, Rajadhiraaj brings to life the multifaceted persona of Shri Krishna through three distinct avatars: the mischievous Bal Swaroop, the regal Dwarkadheesh, and the compassionate Shrinathji. Featuring 20 original songs, 180 artists, 60 dancers, and 1,800 intricately designed costumes, the musical blends breathtaking choreography, live vocals, and visionary set design to create a sensory spectacle.
“This production is a celebration of universal values—courage, wisdom, and love—that transcend borders,” said producer Dhanraj Nathwani. “We’ve reimagined these timeless stories to offer audiences an experience unlike anything seen on stage before.”

The creative powerhouse behind the musical includes writer and Padma Shri Awardee Prasoon Joshi, director Shruti Sharma, and music duo Sachin-Jigar. Choreographers Bertwin D’Souza and Shampa Gopikrishna infused dynamic energy into the dance sequences, while Omung Kumar’s majestic set design and Neeta Lulla’s opulent costumes elevated the visual narrative.
Having garnered acclaim in India for its storytelling and artistry, Rajadhiraaj’s Dubai premiere drew rave reviews. Attendees praised its scale, with one calling it “a masterpiece that bridges culture and modernity.”
