Dubai, UAE – In a heartfelt celebration of Ramadan’s spirit of compassion and unity, the Consulate General of Pakistan in Dubai, alongside the National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) and Alfardan Exchange, organized a special Iftar dinner at the Dulsco Labour Camp in Al Quoz. The event not only fostered community solidarity but also honored the contributions of Pakistani expatriates to the UAE’s progress.

A Tour of Care & Appreciation
Hussain Muhammad, Consul General of Pakistan, toured the Labour Camp’s facilities, including sports grounds, health centers, and accommodation blocks, commending the high standard of welfare amenities for workers. Interacting warmly with community members, Hussain lauded their resilience and hard work, stating, “Ramadan teaches us empathy and collective responsibility—seeing such excellent facilities for our community reflects these values in action.”

Remittances: A Lifeline for Pakistan
Highlighting the importance of formal banking channels, the Consul General urged workers to opt for secure remittance methods. “Your earnings sent home through proper systems strengthen Pakistan’s economy and safeguard your families’ futures,” he emphasized, acknowledging the pivotal role of overseas Pakistanis in national development.

Celebrating Pakistan Day with Pride
The Iftar gathering doubled as a celebration of Pakistan Day, marking the historic Lahore Resolution of 1940. A cake-cutting ceremony infused patriotism into the evening, with attendees reminiscing about their homeland’s journey.
