Dubai: The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai hosted a grand Eid celebration for workers, recognizing their vital role in the emirate’s success story. The two-day event, held in Al Quoz, brought together over 20,000 workers and featured performances by Bollywood celebrities, cultural shows, and lavish prize distributions.
Under the theme “Let’s Celebrate Eid Together,” the festivities honored the dedication of blue-collar workers from countries such as India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, and Nepal. Major General Obaid Muhair bin Suroor, Assistant Director-General of GDRFA Dubai, and Colonel Omar Matar Al Mazaina, Assistant Director of the Work Regulation Sector, led the celebrations.

The event included vibrant music and dance performances, cultural displays, and a raffle draw with prizes worth millions of dirhams, including cars, gold bars, and return air tickets.
Major General Obaid Muhair bin Suroor emphasized that the celebration was a gesture of gratitude towards workers who have played a key role in Dubai’s progress. “This event reflects the UAE’s values of appreciation and inclusivity,” he said.

The joyous occasion highlighted Dubai’s commitment to fostering unity and recognizing the efforts of its diverse workforce.
