Dubai, UAE – The Pakistan Business Council Sharjah (PBCS) held a key internal meeting this week at Digital Vision, where its directors gathered to review recent operations and evaluate strategic progress.
Chaired by Dr SM Tahir, the meeting underscored a renewed commitment to enhancing the council’s impact and streamlining overall performance. Directors engaged in constructive discussions aimed at strengthening organisational effectiveness.
Leadership and Strategic Focus
Dr Tahir, with the full backing of the board, led the discussions with a focus on revitalising the council’s operations. A major outcome of the meeting was the unanimous decision to hold regular in-person meetings during the first week of every month. This move is expected to improve team cohesion, ensure greater transparency, and accelerate decision-making.
Acknowledgements and Committee Updates
First Vice Chairman Syed Saleem Akhtar was appreciated for hosting the productive session. Updates were presented by directors from various committees, including Salman Wasil (Honorary Secretary), Amir Hassan (Second Vice Chairman), and Khalid Chudhary (Advisory Board), reaffirming their dedication to the council’s mission.
Looking Ahead
The next meeting is scheduled to be held at Al Nawab restaurant in Sharjah, as announced by Haji Mohammed Yaseen, Director of the Membership Committee. The meeting concluded with a heartfelt prayer for the late mother of Director Coordination Safdar Rashid.
