Dubai, UAE – Al Habtoor Polo Resort, renowned for its equestrian charm and luxury hospitality, once again served as the grand stage for the International Taste Institute’s highly anticipated bi-annual sensory evaluation. Held on April 21st at the elegant Andalucia restaurant, this marks the fourth time the resort has hosted the prestigious event.
Set against the resort’s lush polo fields and tranquil surroundings, 30 world-class culinary experts—including Michelin-starred chefs and sommeliers—gathered for a blind tasting of global food and beverage products. The evaluation, part of the Brussels-based Institute’s global program, aims to award the Superior Taste Award to products that meet exceptional quality standards.

Among the elite jury were prominent figures like Miguel Expósito Garrido (Spain, Retama), Bernard Vaussion (France, former Executive Chef of the Elysée Palace), Kim Joinié-Maurin (Dubai, Jumeirah Al Qasr), and Enrique Pérez Martinez (Spain, El Doncel). These experts judged entries on five strict criteria, including visual appeal, aroma, texture, flavor, and final mouth feel.
Lukas Tremmel, General Manager of Al Habtoor Polo Resort, emphasized the importance of the event, stating, “Hospitality is about shared experiences and elevated dining. It was an honor to host such culinary excellence within our resort.”
This continuing partnership with the International Taste Institute reinforces Dubai’s rising profile as a hub of global gastronomy, with Al Habtoor Polo Resort at its heart—offering not just luxury, but a growing legacy of excellence in hosting premier international events.
