Dubai: In a landmark achievement, the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai (GDRFA Dubai) has been awarded the Hamdan bin Mohammed Smart Government Flag, recognizing its exceptional performance in transforming government services under the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
The honor comes after GDRFA Dubai topped the second cycle of the 360 Services Policy, a key driver of Dubai’s government sector transformation. The award, part of the Hamdan bin Mohammed Program for Government Services Evaluation, highlights the directorate’s success in enhancing efficiency, reducing bureaucracy, and improving customer experience.
Under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council, the program aims to establish a new model of government excellence centered on innovation, customer happiness, and smart solutions.

Record-Breaking Achievements
GDRFA Dubai’s efforts led to:
- 93% improvement in targeted services, surpassing the government benchmark of 60%.
- 26+ million transactions enhanced with streamlined processes.
- 86% reduction in service requirements and 85% faster processing times.
- 80% fewer customer visits to service centers and 56% fewer steps per service.
- AED 75 million in annual financial savings.
Customer satisfaction soared to 94% in 2024, reinforcing GDRFA Dubai’s reputation as a leader in smart government services.
