Abu Dhabi, UAE – A high-level Indian all-party delegation, led by Shiv Sena MP Dr. Shrikant Eknath Shinde, arrived in Abu Dhabi on Thursday, marking the beginning of a four-nation diplomatic tour aimed at bolstering international support for India’s cross-border counter-terrorism efforts. The visit prominently highlighted Operation Sindoor, India’s strategic anti-terror operation launched in response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack.
The delegation, which included prominent leaders such as Bansuri Swaraj, ET Mohmd Basheer, Atul Garg, Sasmit Patra, Manan Kumar Mishra, Surendrajeet Singh Ahluwalia, and former Ambassador Sujan Chinoy, held extensive discussions with top UAE officials.
In a key meeting with Sheikh Nahyan Mabarak Al Nahyan, UAE’s Minister of Tolerance, the Indian delegation elaborated on the precision and de-escalatory intent behind Operation Sindoor. Sheikh Nahyan expressed the UAE’s condolences for the Pahalgam attack and declared, “The UAE will always stand with India against terrorism.”

During talks with Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the UAE’s Defence, Interior & Foreign Affairs Committee, the delegation emphasized India’s firm stance against cross-border terrorism. Dr. Nuaimi commended India’s measured response, stating, “India-UAE ties go beyond trade — we are aligned on security and strategic priorities.”
The delegation also met Dr. Jamal Al Kaabi of the UAE’s National Media Office, presenting factual evidence to counter Pakistan-led misinformation regarding the operation.
In an interview with The National, Dr. Shinde described Operation Sindoor as a “new normal” in India’s anti-terror doctrine, outlining its strategic execution and impact.
The visit concluded with a diaspora interaction reaffirming shared values, while closed-door discussions with UAE think tanks are scheduled for Friday, further cementing India-UAE diplomatic ties.
