DUBAI, UAE Nominations are officially open for the fifth annual Automechanika Dubai Awards, set to culminate in a grand finale at the Dubai World Trade Centre on December 10, 2025. The awards, which celebrate global best practices and regional excellence, will coincide with the 22nd edition of Automechanika Dubai, taking place from December 9-11, 2025.

This year’s ceremony introduces two significant new accolades, expanding its recognition within the automotive aftermarket sector. The ‘Distributor of the Year Award,’ part of the Service Excellence category, will honor outstanding independent aftermarket distributors across the Middle East. Meanwhile, the ‘Rising Star in Automotive Aftermarket Award,’ under the People category, aims to highlight promising professionals aged 30 and under.

Prospective entrants are urged to submit their nominations by August 15. The highly anticipated shortlist of finalists for the 2025 awards is scheduled for unveiling in mid-October.

Tommy Le, Show Manager for Automechanika Dubai, emphasized the awards’ growing significance. “The Automechanika Dubai Awards continue to reflect the ambition, creativity, and momentum that have come to define the Middle East and Africa’s automotive aftermarket sector,” Le stated. He added, “This year’s edition will feature 15 awards spanning the categories of Service Excellence, People, Products, and Transformation. With two brand new trophies, highlighting excellence, innovation, and long-term potential in the fields of distribution and talent, I have no doubt that the Automechanika Dubai Awards 2025 will be the most competitive and exciting to date.”

An independent panel of regional and international industry experts will meticulously assess all submissions. Their rigorous evaluation criteria will focus on impact, innovation, and overall contribution to the region’s automotive aftermarket sector. The judging panel includes prominent figures such as Nasir Saif Sultan AlSeeri (Head of VIP Vehicles Maintenance Section at Dubai Government Workshop), Alan Whaley (Founder and Chairman of AMENA Auto), Dr. Maya Ben Dror (Co-founder and COO of ComplexChaos, Chairperson of Women in Mobility, and Venture Partner at NextGear Ventures), and Frank Schlehuber (Senior Consultant for Market Affairs at the European Association of Automotive Suppliers), among others.

The 2024 edition of the awards saw more than 400 entries, culminating in 54 finalists. Organizers have reported an exceptionally high quality of early nominations for 2025, with submissions already received from the GCC, Kenya, Europe, and the US, showcasing innovation, sustainability, and service excellence from both established players and emerging disruptors.

Gaitri Jeswani, Chief Operations Officer at Eurodiesel Services LLC and recipient of the Women in Automotive Aftermarket award at the 2024 ceremony, expressed her gratitude. “This recognition inspires me to keep advocating for inclusivity, mentorship, and innovation in our evolving industry,” she shared. Jeswani will also serve as an honorary judge on this year’s awards panel, further contributing her expertise.

The upcoming Automechanika Dubai exhibition, scheduled from December 9-11, 2025, will be structured around six key pillars: sustainability, electrification and digitalisation, innovation, training, recruitment, and safety. Returning popular features include the Automechanika Academy, Innovation4Mobility, the Automechanika Awards, the Pitstop Challenge, the Modern Workshop, and the Lubricants, Base Oil and Additives Conference.

The show floor will be organized into ten product sections: Parts & Components, Electrics & Electronics, Accessories & Customising, Car Wash, Care & Detailing, Body & Paint, Diagnostics & Repair, Oils, Lubricants & Fuels, Tyres & Batteries, Digital Solutions & Services, and a new area dedicated to Connectivity & Autonomous Driving.
