Dubai, UAE – Cricket fans eagerly awaiting the India-Pakistan clash and other matches in the upcoming DP World Asia Cup have been urged to exercise extreme caution, with organisers issuing a stern warning against a proliferation of counterfeit tickets.
The Asian Cricket Council (ACC), the tournament’s governing body, has clarified that official tickets for the marquee event, to be held in the UAE from September 8, have not yet been released for sale.
In an official statement, the ACC and the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) confirmed that any tickets currently being offered on various online platforms and resale websites are fraudulent.

“Officials said ticket sales have not yet begun, and any tickets currently being offered on online platforms are fake,” the statement read. It added a clear warning for spectators: anyone holding such unauthorised tickets “will not be permitted entry into stadiums.”
The organisers assured that details regarding the official ticket sales process, including the launch date and authorised vendors, will be announced to the public soon. Fans have been advised to wait for these official channels and announcements to avoid being scammed.
The 2025 edition of the DP World Asia Cup begins on September 9. Defending champions India find themselves in a competitive Group A alongside arch-rivals Pakistan, Oman, and hosts UAE. The tournament will culminate with the final at the Dubai International Stadium on September 28.
