ABU DHABI – The Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre (ADPHC) has launched a new mobile app, Citymoov, that aims to make healthy living a fun and engaging adventure. The app, which transforms everyday movement into interactive digital scavenger hunts called “quests,” officially debuted at Yas Mall on Saturday, drawing a crowd of over 600 residents.
The launch event gave participants a taste of the app’s potential with one of its first-ever Master Quests. Competitors raced against the clock to solve clues and complete challenges throughout Yas Mall. Participants who finished in under 25 minutes received prizes, while the fastest person took home a premium fitness hamper that included an Apple Watch and headphones.

Dr. Rashed Al Suwaidi, Director General of ADPHC, described the app as more than just a tool for fitness. “Citymoov is more than an app, it’s a movement,” he stated. “By reimagining Abu Dhabi’s public spaces as opportunities for exploration, play and connection, we are making healthy choices more enjoyable and within reach for everyone.”

Two New Competitions to Keep Residents Moving
To keep the momentum going, ADPHC has also announced two new city-wide competitions:
- Creator Mode Competition: Residents are encouraged to design their own quests using the app’s Creator Mode. The three quests with the most plays by Friday, December 5, will share prizes from a pool of AED 50,000.
- Master Quest Competition: Participants can test their skills across five quests located at iconic Abu Dhabi landmarks, including the Louvre Abu Dhabi, Yas Marina Circuit, Yas Mall, and both Mamsha and Marsana beaches. Each month, the five fastest players to complete all five quests will be awarded a top-of-the-range fitness watch.
Residents can join the fun by downloading the Citymoov app, completing a Master Quest, and sharing their finish time on Instagram with the tag @citymoovAD.

The Citymoov app is part of Abu Dhabi’s larger commitment to fostering a healthier, more connected community by blending technology with physical activity and play. The ADPHC plans to hold more interactive events in malls across the city in the coming months to further engage residents.
