Dubai, UAE – TERN Group, a Dubai-based AI-powered global talent mobility platform for healthcare professionals, announced today it has secured $24 million in a Series A funding round. The latest investment brings the company’s total funding to $33 million, a testament to its mission of transforming the region’s healthcare workforce management.

The funding round was led by UK-based Notion Capital, with strategic participation from UAE-based EQ2 Ventures, highlighting the platform’s focus on the Middle East. Other investors included RTP Global, LocalGlobe, Leo Capital, Presight Capital, and Tom Stafford, Co-Founder of DST Global.

Founded in 2023 by Avinav Nigam, TERN Group offers a comprehensive solution for training, certifying, and deploying healthcare professionals from 13 countries into high-demand global markets. At the core of its strategy is the world’s first Clinical AI Workforce platform, which drastically cuts down international hiring timelines from 6–12 months to under 10 weeks. This translates to a 60% faster time-to-hire, threefold cost savings, and a significant 15-20% boost in workforce productivity.

“Our mission is urgent,” said Avinav Nigam, Founder and CEO of TERN Group. “Healthcare professionals from countries like India are world-class, but they are often constrained by slow, fragmented, and opaque recruitment systems. The GCC, and particularly the UAE, is a critical region for us as healthcare demand continues to accelerate.”

The company plans to use the investment to expand its AI platform, enhance training and compliance infrastructure, and deepen partnerships with healthcare providers across the GCC, Europe, and the UK.

With the UAE’s healthcare ecosystem projected to spend over $50 billion by 2029, the demand for skilled professionals is growing. TERN Group is actively collaborating with top UAE hospitals and regulators to ensure a reliable pipeline of qualified professionals, including Indian nurses and care workers, to support this growth.

Krishna Ramkumar, Co-Founder and COO of TERN Group, added, “By ensuring rigorous compliance and international-standard training, we give healthcare employers in the GCC and beyond the confidence that they are hiring the right professionals at the right time.”

The platform’s impact is already evident. Over 100 global healthcare clients, including some of the largest hospital groups in the region, are currently using or piloting TERN’s workflows. The platform has mobilised thousands of nurses and doctors, with early pilots in the GCC reducing hiring timelines to a matter of weeks while exceeding industry retention benchmarks with a 96% success rate. Currently, over 650,000 professionals are registered on the platform, using it for transparent career pathways and direct access to jobs.

“TERN Group is tackling one of the global healthcare industry’s most urgent challenges: affordable, reliable, and sustainable recruitment,” said Itxaso del Palacio, Partner at Notion Capital. “By combining compliance with AI-driven efficiency, TERN is already becoming the trusted partner for healthcare systems in the UK, UAE, Germany, and beyond.”

The new funding will enable TERN to expand its GCC operations and strengthen compliance automation, with a long-term goal of building a workforce operating system that allows governments and healthcare providers to scale with confidence.
