Abu Dhabi, UAE – Emirates Foundation announced winning the “Best Communication for Community Empowerment” category at the Sharjah Government Communication Award ceremony, held on Thursday, 11 September at the Sharjah Expo Centre.

Ahmed Taleb Al Shamsi, Chief Executive Officer of the Foundation, received the trophy in the presence of a select group of government and media leaders and communication experts. This recognition acknowledges the Foundation’s efforts in deploying innovative communication strategies that contribute to strengthening community ties, instilling values of cooperation and belonging, and encouraging active participation among various segments of society.

The award committee affirmed that Emirates Foundation was honoured for its impactful initiatives and programmes that enhance social cohesion, preserve Emirati cultural heritage in a rapidly evolving digital environment, and support volunteer initiatives. It also recognised the Foundation’s role in motivating individuals towards community service and promoting knowledge exchange — efforts that reinforce the values of giving and solidarity, strengthen national identity, and contribute to achieving long-term positive impact.
