Dubai, UAE – The organisers of the Middle East Film & Comic Con (MEFCC) are introducing something new this year: FNDM, a fresh pop culture festival created with the community at its heart. Taking place on 4–5 October 2025 at The Concourse Convention Center, Dubai Outlet Mall, FNDM promises an immersive two-day celebration of anime, comics, cosplay, gaming, art, and music.
Building on the legacy of MEFCC, FNDM has been designed for “the fans who stay through the credits,” offering UAE audiences a chance to connect with the MEFCC spirit more than once a year. With over 80 exhibitors, live performances, and entertainment, the event is poised to become a new must-attend gathering.
In a landmark moment for fans, FNDM Dubai will host the world’s very first overseas appearance of Makoto Tamura. Known for voicing the powerful character King in One Piece and the Japanese voice-over artist of the main character in Marvel’s Black Panther. This will be his very first overseas event appearance. Not only in Dubai or the GCC, but the first time anywhere in the world.

Tamura will appear for autograph sessions and an exclusive panel, giving attendees a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet the voice behind some of anime and Marvel’s most iconic characters. The full schedule will be revealed soon, with more announcements to follow.
Another major highlight of FNDM will be the presence of internationally acclaimed comic creators. Fans will be able to meet Dexter Soy, whose work has brought to life titles such as Captain Marvel, Batman and the Outsiders, Avengers vs. X-Men, and Suicide Squad; illustrator Jane Pica, based out of the UAE and celebrated for Warriors and a Wee Wonder, Disney’s Lilo & Stitch, and The Girls Survive series and Paolo Pantalena, known for Teen Titans, Red Hood/Arsenal, Robyn Hood, and Lady Death. Together, they form a powerhouse line-up that reflects FNDM’s mission to spotlight world-class creative talent.
Alongside international guests and pro-cosplayers the festival will feature regional talent in Artist Alley, host electrifying live entertainment on the Fandom Stage, and create spaces where cosplay enthusiasts, gamers, and collectors alike can celebrate what they love most. From tournaments and face-offs to exclusive convention-only drops, every corner of FNDM will be designed for discovery and connection.

To make the event accessible to as many fans as possible, tickets start at AED 65 for a Standard Saturday or Sunday Pass. The Weekend Pass is only AED 115 for two-day access, giving visitors additional savings.
“We created FNDM as a way to give back to the fans who have built such an incredible community around MEFCC over the years,” said Loy Pinheiro, Show Director of FNDM. “This event is about creating another moment in the year for fans to come together, meet the community, and celebrate the culture they love. With ticket prices designed to be accessible and an exciting line-up of talent, we are proud to launch a new chapter for pop culture in the UAE.”
