Dubai, UAE – L’Étape Dubai by Tour de France, presented by Škoda and supported by Dubai Sports Council, has announced a new and expanded programme for its 2026 edition, which will feature new routes and a series of build-up events to unite the cycling community.
Registration is now officially open for the event, which will take place on January 24–25, offering amateur cyclists, families, and enthusiasts the opportunity to experience the spirit of the world’s most famous cycling race.
The 2026 edition introduces new routes starting from Dubai Design District (D3) and concluding at Expo Village Park. The courses are designed to take riders past some of the city’s most iconic landmarks, with the longer 112 km ‘Epic Race’ and the more accessible 61 km ‘Classic Race’ offering a challenge for all levels.

Participants in the Epic Race will begin in the heart of D3, enjoying views of Downtown Dubai before heading into new loops, including one around Global Village. The finish line, along with the non-competitive events, will be hosted at Expo Village Park, providing a premium venue for participants and spectators.
The event is accessible for all, with a 20 km Family Ride and a Kids’ Race (300m – 1.8 km) also on the agenda, creating a festival atmosphere and celebrating the sport with cyclists of all ages and abilities.
In line with the prestigious Tour de France, the event will once again feature popular sprint sections, with participants competing for the famous Tour de France jerseys. Riders will also have the chance to meet and ride alongside Tour de France legends.

Enhanced Race Village and Community Engagement
A key feature of the 2026 edition is the enhanced Race Village at Expo, which will serve as the central hub for riders and fans. Powered by Škoda and other partners, the village will host an expanded programme of activities, including more exhibitors, engaging challenges, and initiatives to encourage greater participation from women.
The wider programme will also offer more social rides and activities for riders from September through January. The 2026 edition aims to attract an international audience by creating special packages that combine race participation with a stay in Dubai.
To foster a strong cycling culture, a series of social rides will be organised across the UAE in the months leading up to the race weekend. These rides, guided by experienced cycling experts, will connect the community and prepare participants for the main challenge, keeping the cycling culture alive throughout the season.

Building on Success
The inaugural L’Étape Dubai welcomed over 1,000 participants, including 243 international riders and 266 Emiratis, establishing itself as the largest first-edition amateur cycling event of its kind in the UAE. The 2026 edition aims to build on this success by welcoming up to 2,000 riders.
