Ajman, UAE – Under the patronage of the Ajman Department of Tourism Development (ADTD), the world’s largest book sale, Big Bad Wolf, has officially made its debut in Ajman, bringing over 250,000 books with discounts of up to 90%. The inaugural edition, hailed as a major step in promoting literacy and cultural engagement, is running at Youth X HUB until October 5, 2025.
The grand opening was a high-profile affair, attended by notable figures including Khaled Al Nuaimi, Director General of the Federal Youth Authority, Mohamad Al Kaabi, Executive Director of Ajman’s Government Media Office, and Hind Sultan Al Marzouqi, Director of Development and Marketing at ADTD. The event marks Ajman’s official entry into Big Bad Wolf’s global movement, aligning with the emirate’s cultural ambitions.
The sale is a bibliophile’s paradise, with prices starting from as low as AED 2. Visitors can explore a vast collection of titles across various genres, including fiction, non-fiction, children’s books, thrillers, and cookbooks.
Mahmood Khaleel Alhashmi, Director-General of the Ajman Department of Tourism Development, underscored the event’s importance, stating, “The Ajman edition of Big Bad Wolf is more than just an event; it is also a statement about our commitment to literacy, creativity and lifelong learning.”
Echoing this sentiment, Andrew Yap, Founder of Big Bad Wolf Books, emphasized the event’s core mission. “Our goal has always been simple: to change the world, one book at a time,” he said. “Books should never be a luxury; they should be within reach for everyone.”
Beyond the books, the event aims to create a lively, family-friendly atmosphere. Visitors who spend AED 300 or more will be entered into a lucky draw for a chance to win an iPhone 17 Pro.
