Dubai, UAE – The Dubai International Cricket Stadium is poised to host a blockbuster finale to the Asia Cup 2025 on Sunday, as cricketing giants India and Pakistan lock horns for the regional trophy in a highly anticipated encounter.

The marquee match, beginning at 6:30 PM local time, marks the first instance of the two neighbours contesting the final of the tournament, elevating the stakes for the historic showdown.

The Dubai Events Security Committee (ESC) has announced that all security preparations are complete. Authorities have called on fans to champion sportsmanship, adhere to stadium regulations, and uphold Dubai’s esteemed reputation for hosting global sporting events. Dubai Police have deployed comprehensive units with instructions to take firm action against any security breaches.

Stadium Guidelines for Fans

With massive crowds expected, ticket-holders are strongly advised to arrive at least three hours before the match starts. Stadium rules permit only one entry per valid ticket, with re-entry not allowed. Attendees must follow directions from stewards, observe all signage, and use only designated parking areas.

Ticket Availability

Despite soaring demand, tickets are still available in various categories via PlatinumList. General admission starts from Dh350, with children’s tickets from Dh25. Premium seats are priced at Dh750, and a three-for-two promotion is offered for Dh1,500. Pavilion east tickets cost Dh900, also available under the same promotion. Hospitality packages range from Dh1,500 for platinum passes to Dh32,000 for a four-person Sky Box. Organisers noted that while some upper-tier and hospitality passes remain, most general east lower tickets are sold out.

Road to the Final

India, captained by Suryakumar Yadav, stormed into the final unbeaten, securing wins over Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan. Their Super Four stage concluded with a thrilling Super Over victory against Sri Lanka. Opener Abhishek Sharma has been the tournament’s standout, setting a new record with 309 runs, surpassing Mohammad Rizwan’s previous mark.

Pakistan secured their final berth with an 11-run win over Bangladesh. Their campaign included victories over Sri Lanka and Afghanistan, with both their losses in the group and Super Four stages coming against India.

Rivalry Intensity

The final is set against a backdrop of heightened tensions. Post-match handshakes were skipped in both previous encounters between the sides, and players from both teams have faced ICC fines for Code of Conduct breaches.

Team News and Form Guide

India, unbeaten in the tournament and undefeated in T20 series since winning the ICC T20 World Cup in June, are expected to field an unchanged XI, pending fitness checks on Abhishek Sharma, Tilak Varma, and Hardik Pandya. Pakistan is also likely to retain the side that beat Sri Lanka.

India’s form reads W-W-W-W-W, while Pakistan’s record in this Asia Cup is four wins and two losses (both to India).

Players to Watch

All eyes will be on India’s record-breaking opener Abhishek Sharma and spinner Kuldeep Yadav, who has taken 12 wickets. For Pakistan, the pace of Shaheen Shah Afridi, with eight wickets, will be crucial.

The match will be broadcast live across regional and international networks, with live streaming available on multiple platforms.
