Dubai, UAE – His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, visited the pavilion of the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai (GDRFA Dubai) on the opening day of GITEX Global 2025, where he reviewed the authority’s latest digital services and innovations.
Sheikh Mohammed was accompanied by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai; His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Finance; and His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and First Deputy Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai.

The leadership was received by Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of GDRFA Dubai, and senior officials of the Directorate.
During the visit, the Ruler of Dubai was briefed on cutting-edge projects designed to enhance the customer journey and strengthen Dubai’s position as a global leader in government digital transformation.
Lt Gen Al Marri said the participation of GDRFA Dubai in this year’s GITEX reflects the authority’s vision of transforming technology into practical tools that improve quality of life and enhance service efficiency.
“What we showcase today is a tangible translation of Dubai’s vision—where government services are intelligent by design, seamless in experience, and human at their core,” he said.

The pavilion highlights operational models currently deployed in real service environments, offering visitors a glimpse of how government entities are adopting proactive and intelligent approaches to public service.
Colonel Expert Khalid bin Mediya Al Falasi, Assistant Director General for the Digital Services Sector at GDRFA Dubai, said the pavilion witnessed strong public turnout on the opening day, underscoring the relevance of the Directorate’s services to people’s daily lives.
He noted that the authority is committed to developing interactive, human-centric digital solutions that combine efficiency with real user needs.

Throughout the exhibition, GDRFA Dubai is presenting interactive showcases and live demonstrations, reaffirming its role as a key enabler of Dubai’s digital life quality and its focus on leveraging artificial intelligence and integrated data systems.
