Dubai, UAE – Dubai’s Festival of Lights 2025 is currently underway, transforming the city into a sparkling hub of retail and culture with massive sales, glittering gold giveaways, and vibrant market entertainment.

Organised by the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), the 10-day celebration runs until October 26, inviting residents and visitors to capitalise on discounts of up to 75 per cent and participate in grand raffles offering hundreds of thousands of dirhams in gold and cash prizes.

Citywide Sales Hit 75 Per Cent Mark

The festive spirit has translated directly into retail savings, with promotions available across major malls, department stores, and hypermarkets citywide. Discounts are reported across every major category, including fine jewellery, fashion, accessories, cosmetics, and home furnishings.

Prominent participating brands include major names like Amazon, Carrefour, Centrepoint, Damas, Dune London, Galeries Lafayette, Jumbo, LuLu, Michael Kors, Swarovski, and Tory Burch, among many others, ensuring wide access to savings.

Golden Offers Crown 30 Winners

In line with the tradition of purchasing gold during the Festival of Lights, jewellery retailers have rolled out lucrative promotions, including AED 150,000 in total prizes.

  • Dubai Jewellery Group (DJG): Until October 26, DJG is crowning 30 lucky winners with a share of jewellery vouchers worth AED 150,000 for spending AED 1,000 or more at participating outlets. Shoppers also receive free gold coins on selected purchases of AED 4,000 or more, along with reduced making charges and up to 70 per cent off on selected diamond and pearl items.
  • Mall Raffles: Shoppers spending AED 200 or more at participating malls stand a chance to win a share of AED 100,000 worth of vouchers in the ‘Shop, Scan and Strike Gold’ promotion, also running until October 26.
  • Damas: The major jewellery house is giving away a 1-gram, 22-karat gold coin on diamond purchases of AED 5,000 or more, alongside a chance for 20 shoppers to win vouchers worth up to AED 100,000.
  • Centrepoint: The retailer is offering instant gold prizes through a ‘Scratch & Win’ campaign on spends of AED 300 or more at its stores in City Centre Deira, Ibn Battuta Mall, Oasis Mall Dubai, and BurJuman Mall until October 28.

Festive Markets and Mall Entertainment

Beyond the sales, the festival is marked by cultural attractions and free-to-attend entertainment across popular destinations.

Global Village is celebrating its milestone 30th season, featuring a colourful Diwali Mela at the India Pavilion, alongside stunning Rangoli art painting and lively stage performances. Visitors can explore unique gifts and home décor and indulge in a wide array of Indian delicacies, from street food at the Indian Chaat Bazaar to fine dining.

In Deira, the Waterfront Market is hosting a spectacular display—the largest Rangoli installation made entirely of spices—crafted from 60kgs of ingredients like cinnamon, turmeric, and chilli, on view until October 26.

Meanwhile, BurJuman Mall is buzzing with cultural experiences, including Family Game Nights on Fridays and traditional, Bollywood-inspired Baithak musical gatherings on Saturdays. A grand prize of a brand new SOUEAST SO6 vehicle is also up for grabs for shoppers who spend AED 250 or more.

The excitement culminates at City Centre Deira on October 25, which will host a first-of-its-kind Escalator Fashion Show, showcasing Indian and fusion fashion and jewellery brands.

Final Rewards

For fashionistas, the ‘Shop Textiles, Spark Rewards’ promotion across textile stores in Meena Bazaar, Karama, and Deira will see 10 lucky winners share AED 50,000 in cash on purchases of AED 200 or more until October 26.

In a special tie-up, Emirates Skywards is offering members a 25 per cent bonus Miles when shopping at participating outlets, including Dubai Audio, Natuzzi, and Jashanmal, with a chance to win a share of 25 million Miles as part of their 25th Anniversary celebration. The Festival of Lights concludes this Sunday, October 26.
