Abu Dhabi, UAE – The National Academy for Childhood Development (NACD) is set to participate in the prestigious Najah Expo 2025, the UAE’s premier international higher education fair, taking place from October 19 to 21 at the ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi. The Academy is leveraging the platform to showcase its comprehensive range of educational and training initiatives focused on childhood development, the promotion of the Arabic language, and the preservation of Emirati heritage and national identity.

NACD’s presence at the expo, which is a vital resource for students making informed academic and career decisions, reflects its commitment to positioning childhood development as a promising and essential professional pathway in the UAE.

Highly Selective Diploma Draws Thousands of Applicants

A focal point of NACD’s showcase is the highly sought-after Vocational Diploma in Childhood Development programme, accredited by the National Qualifications Centre. The intensive 18-month accredited course offers specialized training for individuals currently working in or aspiring to enter the sector, with a strong emphasis on early education, childcare, developmental psychology, and special education.

The programme’s exclusivity is evident in its application statistics:

  • Over 22,500 applications have been received in the past three years.
  • Only 304 applicants have been accepted across the three years of its operation (80 in year one, 114 in year two, and 110 in year three).
  • This places NACD’s overall student acceptance rate for the Diploma at an extremely competitive approximately 1.3% to date.

The Diploma features a full scholarship and is structured in two phases: 12 months of theoretical and practical learning, followed by a six-month internship, providing participants with advanced credentials in a vital field of community development.

Commitment to Future Generations

Dr Meera Saeed AlKaabi, Acting President of The National Academy for Childhood Development, underscored the strategic importance of the Academy’s participation.

“Our continued participation in Najah Expo for the second consecutive year reflects our deep commitment to embedding childhood development at the heart of society, positioning it as a promising academic and professional pathway towards a bright future for generations to come,” said Dr AlKaabi.

The overarching goal is to “inspire everyone to contribute to the growth of this vital sector, fostering family stability and driving sustainable development across the UAE.”

Interactive Learning and Cultural Awareness

Beyond its academic offerings, NACD’s pavilion will host interactive activities and engaging educational experiences. These include entertaining educational competitions designed to raise awareness and educate visitors on child development, as well as the significance of Emirati culture, heritage, and the Arabic language.

Visitors are invited to explore NACD’s pavilion at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi, Hall 3, Stand A08. More information can be found at: https://nacd.ac.ae/ .
