ABU DHABI: Allbirds, the sustainable footwear brand, has doubled down on its presence in the UAE with the opening of a new store in Abu Dhabi’s Marina Mall and the regional launch of its bold new Wool Cruiser sneaker line.
The dual launch, announced on Tuesday, signals a vibrant new chapter for the company in the Middle East, blending its focus on eco-conscious design with a burst of expressive colour.
The new Wool Cruiser collection, which features a minimalist court-sneaker silhouette, arrives as part of the brand’s “Cruise in Colour” campaign. It is available in 19 colourways, including five exclusive shades developed in collaboration with the Pantone Color Institute™.
Each of the five curated colours is designed to tell a story of creativity and individuality, themes the brand says align with the UAE’s dynamic fashion scene. The palette includes Sapphire Blue for “confident sophistication,” Zesty Citron to “refresh and revive,” Golden Sunshine for “positivity,” Vibrant Blossom to “inspire delight,” and Granite Gray for “timeless style.”
“Colour gives us a way to break the rules, embrace freedom and choose our own unique style. It can turn a sneaker into a canvas for personal expression,” said Laurie Pressman, Vice President of the Pantone Color Institute. “This palette is a tribute to being bold.”

In keeping with its environmental commitments, Allbirds constructed the Wool Cruiser using a novel material: recycled wool. The fabric is made from post-consumer Italian knitwear that is sorted, cleaned, and regenerated without requiring additional dyeing. The process gives the sneakers their textured look and dynamic colour.
“We wanted to capture the full spectrum of colour, and the Wool Cruiser was the perfect template,” said Adrian Nyman, Chief Design Officer at Allbirds. “In a world of conformity, this is a style that can stand out from the crowd.”
The shoe also incorporates the brand’s signature comfort technology, including a dual-density insole with memory foam and a soft wool-blend collar.
The new Marina Mall store marks Allbirds’ latest step in expanding its retail footprint in the region, following its initial entry into the UAE market.
